I got it!

Tue Feb 12, 2008, 6:23 AM
I got my new camera. actually I got it a week a go and I`ve posted two pictures taken with it. Now I just need a lens with a bigger wide-angle, a tripod and the everlasting circle has begun.

Check out my gallery. Not much in there yet, but it will come:)

Peace, Mattis.

Congrats! I just sold my equipment myself. This way, I save 1,- when buying. :p Neat!
I'm gonna spend some extra cash on a Lowepro Slingshot as well, since I sold my bag, and really need something with easier access to the equipment. Only 899,- at the same store. GREAT!

Grip and extra batteries will be ordered sometime later when I can spend some money on it.

Which lens do you use ?

Nice! Your joining the 30D-club?:P
I have a great bag, from canon. originally made for video but it works great. Lots of pockets, room for one camera and two extra lenses.

I only have a 50mm f/ 1,25 Macro. Its a good lens, but limited in use when i'm not taking portraits or macropictures. I'm spending a lot of time on fredmiranda.com to find a good standard lens.

Dont think I need the extra batterypower jet. First of all I need a tripod and a new lens.

Any good suggestions? Lowest wide-angle should be close to 20 or under. Something between 20 and 70 would be appropriate. What do you have? and are you happy with it?:P

I just recently bought a Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 :) I read a bunch of reviews and many of them said the same: "This one is REALLY close to what you get in a Canon 24-70 L".. That says a lot, don't you think? Why spend 10 grand on original Canon L when you can get close to the same with the Sigma, for only 4 grand ?!! :)

I haven't regret a second. It's simply great! It's even macro, which means the focus distance is somewhere around 40cm at any focal length.

If you want something less than 20mm, I can highly recommend Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 :) Got one before I went to Storåsfestivalen. It's extreme! You can see some photos taken with this one in my gallery.

Another shop you could consider is Scandinavianphoto.no.

Happy buying!
